Blog 2: Why did you choose this career?

 

Hi everyone! This is my second blog about my interests in Architecture. 

I remember when I was a little girl I dreamed of being an astronaut because I wanted to see the moon. I used to watch films or series about the space but overtime my interests changed.

When I grew up I didn't knew what to study, I didn't knew what to do with my future. I have to admit that I liked a lots of things when I was in high school and my three favorite courses were math, history and art, so I decided to study architecture because it has everything that I like (or almost everything). I also wanted to study design but I'm not good at drawing hahah, although I hope I can study interior desing one day :). 

I started my career in 2018 at the University of Chile, at first I didn´t liked Architecture because it was very hard, but my teachers and friends encouraged me to continue. Sometimes I hate my career but other times I love it because in the future I will be able to work at the service of cities and people.

The course that I liked the most was urbanism 4 because my teachers and my team members were the best, and I think is still my favorite course. I learned about urban politics, environment, sustainable cities, we even talked about the Constitution. This course was very complete and I missed to work with my team. 

In this university I haved learned a lot. I'm grateful of my faculty because I have met great people. 

Architecture is a very complicated career but worth the effort. I hope that in a few  years I can work in a municipality, contribuiting with my learnings.
